Have Labour lost Lewisham afterall?

I've just checked and Labour still hold the elected Mayor in Lewisham. Because of the way such councils work, this means Labour effectively retains control since overruling the Mayor on key issues involves a two-thirds majority.

Is such an arrangement really the best?

The other two elected Mayors, in Hackney and Newham, are amongst the three London boroughs still to declare. I forget which authorities outside London have elected Mayors.
