April on this blog

Time again for a look at who's been visiting this site in the past month, courtesy of tracksy.com. Earlier stats have previously been covered for February and March.

First off the sites most people come from:

  1. Blogger.com (+1)
  2. Google (-1)
  3. Conservative Mind (+3)
  4. Take back the voice (NEW)
  5. Jo Salmon (-)
  6. Antonia Bance (-3)
  7. Contemplative Activist (-)
  8. Vote 2006 Discussion Forum (NEW)
  9. A Tangled Web (NEW)
  10. Adloyada (NEW)

Dropping out of the top ten altogether are Educationet (at 12, down 9), Wikipedia (at 23, down 13), Dan Quixote - Tilting At Political Windmills Blog (at 28, down 20) and Liberal England (which has disappeared from the listings altogether).

Jo and her partner Antonia have swapped order once again - I'm still waiting to find out if this causes rows in the Salmon-Bance home!

Then we have the top ten search engine requests that brought people here:

  1. laura blomeley (-)
  2. what does your birthday say about you (+1)
  3. sutton labour manifesto (NEW)
  4. tim roll-pickering (-2)
  5. Kat Stark letter (NEW)
  6. edmonton bars without grumpy old men (NEW)
  7. arnold schwarzenegger in forest gate (NEW)
  8. stratford station protection from falling collision impact (NEW)
  9. labour in sutton (NEW)
  10. james juggapah (NEW)
And again Laura Blomeley is still the main search term, with nearly 25% of searches being for information about her. My tribute to her is still the most read post on the blog.

Otherwise again nearly all the terms have changed, with few if any people looking for information about 'shabina begun jilbab', 'sexism nowadays', 'abortions in oxted', 'qmsu referendum success', 'female conservatives stupid', 'my cat loves custard' and 'council tax students exemption opsi'.

Quite a few searches relating to politics in Sutton have been from the domain sutton.gov.uk - i.e. The London Borough of Sutton. With the recent exchange between Daniel Snowdon and myself about where Sutton is, I wonder if the popularity of Sutton in searches coming here will increase.

Finally we have a list of all the cities detected that people are in (although many are listed as "other"):

LONDON, NEWPORT, COVENTRY, BROOKLYN, WASHINGTON, LEUVEN, MANCHESTER, OXFORD, TORONTO, CAMBRIDGE, NORTHAMPTON, DUNDEE, ATLANTA, SWANSEA, FLORENCE, NOTTINGHAM, DULLES, SHEFFIELD, BELFAST, CARDIFF, ABERDEEN, NEW YORK, SOUTHAMPTON, BRADFORD, MANASSAS, SHADY SIDE, MOUNTAIN VIEW, BANGKOK, EDINBURGH, READING, BIRMINGHAM, WARRINGTON, CEDAR PARK, SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, SINGAPORE, BRISTOL, THE HAGUE, MELBOURNE, MINNEAPOLIS, LUTON, LOS ANGELES, LIVERPOOL, CROYDON, WOODBRIDGE, MIDDLETOWN, LEICESTER, BERGEN, BATAVIA

(As ever this is not always perfect - for some reason readers at both the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University are listed as being in London. Canterbury is not exactly next to London!)

Once more, thanks to everyone who's been reading and contributing to this blog!
