News has emerged that Lembit Öpik has been dumped by his fiancée, Cheeky Girl Gabriela Irimia. There have been murmurings of dissent in the Liberal Democrats about him before (see Liberal Democrat *leaders* in trouble, admittedly several leaders ago) and I wonder just how much further his stock can fall.
